As mentionned back in May, a team of 10 local Hadleigh Cycling Club members are going to be cycling from Marble Arch in London to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, to raise money for the Brendan Oakes Trust in Hadleigh, and to renovate a teenage cancer ward.

They will be leaving London early this Saturday morning 27th June and want all 10 team members to arrive in Paris 265 miles later within 24 hours. This means maintaining a constant average speed of 15mph, whilst tackling traffic, weather, nutrition and the lack of sleep – but hopefully no strikes in Calais.

So far the 10 have not just put in a load of training miles but raised over £5600. You could help swell the charity’s coffers at JustGiving and track how they are doing online.
