Hamburg based Michael Belli and Roger Tanner have been hard at work again, with another new bike added to their Bellitanner range: the “NYC Cargo Cab”.
Designing, assembling and packing their bikes in a big urban centre like Hamburg, they have seen the need for a cargo bike. Their frames are made of Columbus tubing, heat treated and painted in Germany. Not long ago they added a yellow and black urban bike to their range named after the typical yellow and black taxi cabs. Their most recent addition has the applied technology and geometry of that NYC “Cab” urban bike, saying that the shorter chain stay and Cab geometry allows for a better and more agile handling in urban streets.
The cargo bike model has been designed to carry an excess of 75 litres in comparison to other cargo bikes on the European market. Bellitanner also point out that the lower point of gravity allows for better manoeuvrability in urban cycling.
Two different boxes for safe and weatherproof transport are in the pipeline and will be introduced soon.
The NYC “Cargo Cab” comes with following specs:
- Carbon Gates
- Disc Brakes
- Ultralight Alloy design.
- 11 Speed Nuvinci Rear Hub.
- Heat Treated Alloy.
This model is available as of now, with an E Bike Version available in August.
