Crafted Classique Returns to Ipswich
Left to right: Charlie Gordon (Crafted), Livvy Grant (Ipswich Borough Council), Vicki Cole (Crafted), Barnie Mills (Crafted) Steve Grimwood (Elmy Cycles – providing cycle support for the event), Tom Gillman (Crafted), Daniel Kennedy (Ipswich Borough Council) and Adam Keer (Ipswich Borough Council).

The “Crafted Classique” returns as part of Ipswich Cycling Weekend on Saturday 22nd August, building on the success of 2014’s inaugural event, which saw 500 riders from across the UK take part in the 100 km or 100 mile routes.

This year’s event, which is again sponsored by the digital agency Crafted, sees a rolling start and slight changes to the 100 km and 100 mile routes and also adds a new 55 km route designed especially for those entering the sportive scene. All routes start with an espresso at Cult Café on Ipswich waterfront before rolling through some of the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The 100 mile route reaches Aldeburgh, before returning to Ipswich. The finish is also at Cult Café for some well-earned food and local beer (or soft drink), with a wide choice also available at the pubs, shops and cafés along the waterfront.

The standard entry price is £25 but if you register online before 20th April 2015 you get a £5 discount. Online entry closes at noon on 21st August, but you are also able to enter on the day for £30.
