We mentionned at the beginning of November that registration for the 2016 Gran Fondo Fausto Coppi was open. Now the organisers have been in touch, suggesting that entry would make a great Christmas present for a keen cyclist, who would love to take part in this spectacular and famous Italian event. Book before 31st December and the entry is just €35.
They have decided to abolish the starting grid for the 29th edition, which takes place in Cuneo (NW Italy) on the weekend of 9th and 10th July, 2016. They will, however, have a “solidarity grid”: anybody who pays an additional €100 will start from that position and know that this contribution is going towards maintaining the mountain roads, for the benefit of cyclists and hikers alike.
If you take up the December offer, and want to return for another event, you get a discounted price of just €45 for the Granfondo della Nocciola Alta Langa 2016 on 28th August in Bossolasco – Cuneo.
You can follow the Fausto Coppi on Facebook.
