Hot Stuff for Cold Weather

I recently came across EKOÏ, the French cycle clothing supplier, who sell online and have a range of customisable products.

The last week or two have been pretty cold on a bike; I’m sure it is a weather thing and not just down to getting older! The fact that EKOÏ have fleece lined lycra cycling gear caught my attention. This is not just for long sleeves and full length tights, but also for their short sleeved jersey and bib shorts, for which they also provide arm and leg warmers.

They call this new range “Primavera”, the Italian word for Spring. As the temperature was down to -1°C overnight here last night, it doesn’t feel overly spring-like yet, so this type of product attracts my attention. They say it’s great for temperatures between 4° & 12°C.

While not one of the best known brands in the UK so far, they have an impressive line-up of famous professionals in cycling (Fabio Aru of Astana and the AG2R team for example) and triathlon (the Brownlee brothers) who use products from them, which is a pretty good reference.

Take a look online at EKOÏ – quite impressive how the site has a “configurator” to allow you to select the colours of your kit. And they even allow payment in installments.
